deeper in
Appearance
Species: African Lion Eye Color: Yellow/Violet Markings and Scars: None Height: Average Weight: Average Basic Appearance: A lovely young lioness and the spitting image of her mother Tama, Tani's pelt is a golden tawny hue. Her underside, muzzle, and toes are all a lighter creamy color than her fur. The tip of her tail is darker tawny color, thin and messy. Intelligence is hidden deep within her eyes, which are yellow with light violet irises. Above her brows, Tani's most distinguishing feature: a thick tuft of unruly bangs, inherited from her mother. This fringe is quite fluffy when she is a cub, but it thins out with maturity and looks rather messy. Her nose is pink, but curved like the typical Outsider's nostrils, which she inherited from her father Abasi. As she ages, malnutrition in the Out Lands will create a thin, hollow looking creature. The Out Lands will have a powerful effect on Vitani's entire visage in the future. Her physique will be similar to her adopted mother's by adulthood, angular and skinny but strong from years of rigid training.
Personality and Past
Personality: Tanivi was born innocent, the product of true love. As an infant, the youngster is more gentle and affectionate that her brother Kivuli. After she is stolen away by Zira, the innocent sweetness will be trained out of the cub. Tanivi will cease to exist. Months of harsh training and cruelty will create the lioness left behind, now called Vitani. Vitani will have a tendency to be sarcastic, with a dry sense of humor. She isn't overly emotional, and she has an even temper. It takes a lot to get Vitani truly angry. She's more likely to laugh off insults than fly off the handle and into a rage. But when she's been pushed over the line, look out. Vitani will tell you exactly what's on her mind. She is fiercely loyal to her littermate, preferring his company over that of her adopted mother and her dark subjects.
Likes: Practice hunting; Staying up late; Star gazing; Learning to fight
Dislikes: Baths; Being hungry; Getting teased
History: At birth, the tawny cub was given the name Tanivi by her biological parents, Abasi and Tama. She was born with one littermate, a russet male cub who looked a great deal like his evil grandfather, the despised old king Scar. During her earliest days, Tani experienced her most peaceful moments, surrounded by the love of her family. But fate will prove to be against the young family, and they will not remain together for long. Zira, the striped devil lioness, and her conniving mate Scar will hatch a plan to steal the two cubs away, to be raised as their own. Tanivi would receive a new name and a new life in the barren wastelands beyond the borders of the Pride Lands, along with her brother.
Vitani will have only the vaguest recollection of her real mother and father, distant memories of the unconditional love she used to feel with her true family. But as far as Vitani remembers, Zira is her mother, because she was so young when she was taken away.

about the creator
Name: bee Nicknames: Bee Password: .Yes, my teeth and ambitions are bared. Other Characters: N/A RP Sample: From another RPG: Under the revealing moonlight, the russet cub moved swiftly through her father's kingdom, hurrying away from the den where the rest of the pride was presumably still fast asleep. The last sound she had heard was her father's irritating, drawn-out and deafening snores, and Giza was happy to get away from the safe place she usually lounged about inside. Her twisted mind had conjured up a plan in recent days. Instead of getting her siblings into trouble, which was her usual goal in life and her greatest form of entertainment, she had decided to get herself into a bit of mischief.
Giza's mother's attention would be spread even more thin, and her father simply didn't notice the cub. And Giza had had enough. Maybe if she was naughty as well, someone would notice her, though she wasn't certain what this would accomplish. It was getting to the point where even negative attenion was looking appealing. What was it that had changed in the cub? She had spent most of her life content with being overlooked, staying to herself in the shadows and preferring to be left alone. The prospect of losing any more of her mother's love to more annoying brothers and sisters was too much. Giza had never realized how lonely she felt deep down until her more caring siblings had tried to bond with her, and she found herself unwilling to accept this, as if she didn't deserve to be loved at all. Life just wasn't fair.
Having seldom strayed far from the shadows of Pride Rock, Giza had no idea where she was going. She had simply picked a direction and started walking until the stone monument was a mere dot on the horizon. The location she now found herself in was completely unfamiliar, with a huge, looming baobab tree towering over her head. Though she was not normally the type to get spooked, something about the overgrown tree was unnerving to Giza. She felt as if she was no longer alone, which scared her even more. Her eyebrows knit together in a concerned expression as she looked around. She had heard stories about spriits and ghosties, and by her childish standards, this place looked as haunted as any. The sound of a twig snapping close by alarmed her, but the russet cub tried to remain calm and look tough, in case someone had already discovered her missing. The cold morning air caused her to shiver inadvertantly. The temperature is always most chilling before dawn, and Giza had never experienced it before.
